It's tough to start a great painting from a blank panel, so why not give yourself a head start? In this class you'll have the opportunity to try this intuitive painting technique to add texture and create patterns on your panel before continuing with encaustic or other mediums.
Join this hands-on class where you'll create texture and patterns with plaster, stencils, and watercolor. This process allows you to build a rich foundation before layering the wax or other mediums, giving you the freedom to explore composition and color without the pressure of working directly with encaustic from the start. I’ll encourage you to follow your intuition, letting each layer evolve organically.
This class is perfect for artists of all levels—no experience is required. All materials are provided. Most students will leave class with 1 – 2 projects ready to finish with encaustic or acrylic paint.
