I'm excited to be one of 20+ artists showing Big Art Ridgefield! I'll have my encaustic and acrylic paintings on display, alongside work from fellow local artists. Purchasing art is a great way to support local artists and fill those big empty walls with original work!

There's something special about walking into a room with a giant piece of art. It fills your whole view, sets the mood instantly, and turns an empty wall into the heart of a space. Come see it in person — and maybe find the perfect statement piece for your own home.

Greely Building, 304 Pioneer Street, Ridgefield, WA
Friday & Saturday, Sept 19–20, 2026
11am–5pm with live music both days
It is free and open to everyone — I'd love to see you there!

SADLY, THE CANADIAN ENCAUSTIC CONFERENCE HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO 2027.

I'm excited to be part of the Canadian Encaustic Conference later this year! Join me September 11–13 in Owen Sound for inspiration, creativity, and connection with encaustic artists from across Canada and around the world.

I have developed two encaustic paint sets with my friends at Enkaustikos, makers of fine art paints for encaustic. I’ve used and loved their paint for many years and I’m always excited to see what new colors they are working on.

Creating with encaustic is a dream come true for painters who also enjoy adding dimension and texture to their work. The beeswax-based paint comes in luscious colors that you can use to easily add depth and texture to your paintings. No painting or drawing experience is necessary for this class; just an adventurous spirit!

Please join me for this new group exhibit exploring the intersection of scientific inquiry and artistic interpretation — from the macro to the micro, the interior to the exterior, and the invisible threads that connect it all. I'm particularly drawn to work that bridges these worlds, reflecting the idea that everything, everywhere is deeply interconnected.

The Ridgefield Art Association’s new show theme is “Yesterday & Today”, one where artists submitted two pieces, one from our earlier work, and one showing our current work. It’s a fascinating combination which gives a peek into how we have matured as artists!

My “yesterday” submission was so long ago that it’s photography, created through a scholarship to work on the 20 x 24 in. Polaroid camera, one of only three in the world!
View all of the work in the show, as well as each artist’s “Yesterday” pieces.

The Ridgefield Art Association really knows how to ring in a New Year! On Saturday Jan 3rd, they are hosting a new show called Black and White + One (Color) where I’ll be debuting my new painting called “Memories and Dreams.”

The show will be held at Ridgefield Community Library, 210 N Main Ave, from 3:30-5:30pm. This is an exclusive members only exhibition, so join me to meet the artists and learn about the art first hand.
