DISCOVER ENCAUSTIC COLLAGE

No painting or drawing experience is necessary for this encaustic painting & collage class.
Encaustic is one of the oldest forms of painting, with paint made from pure pigment mixed with wax and resin. The mixture is applied hot, then reheated to fuse the layers together.
We’ll collage with wax instead of glue to incorporate thin papers, dried plants, and pastels. You'll learn different techniques for painting with wax, depending on if you prefer a smooth or textured look.
Don't worry if you haven't tried anything like this before, the medium is very forgiving.
I'll have lots of collage materials available for you to work with or you can just create by using the beautiful wax paint. If you have favorite rubber stamps, feel free to bring them and I'll show you some fun ways to use them with the wax!
All supplies will be provided for you so all you have to do is show up and have fun.
