Big BOLD Texture

There are several exciting ways of adding texture to your encaustic paintings and we'll explore a few of them in this class.
You can build up texture by painting through stencils and other different materials, using special brush and knife techniques to build up sections of your surface, and specialty tools to remove others.
It takes a little patience to properly build up texture -- but it's SO worth it when folks can barely keep their hands off of your paintings! I'll also teach you how and when to break (or at least bend) the "fuse-every-layer" rule.
All supplies for this workshop will be provided for you, but if you have encaustic paintings in progress please bring them for an even faster start on building your texture. Don't worry if you haven't tried anything like this before, the medium is very forgiving and I'll have lots of materials available for you to work with.
