I am finally back in Oregon after three weeks of painting and leading my Embracing Magic art retreat in Ireland. I also spent an additional week in France (more on that later). WOW! I still don’t quite know what time zone I’m in, but I’m eager to get back to my studio.

I’ll bet most of us have a story about following our intuition. Maybe it’s that time you decided on a different route and met a wonderful person, or accepted a job you loved when another seemed like the more practical choice, or maybe (hopefully) when you bought that lucky lottery ticket!
I can recount many of those stories, but the freshest in my mind is still the trip I took in late 2019 just before everything changed. Hau'oli Makahiki Hou (Happy New Year)!
Many folks may have already spent time looking back at what they accomplished in 2022, and maybe resolving to make some changes. I don’t bother much with resolutions, but I do like to set some goals and make a rough plan.
I already have many commitments and opportunities lined up this year, including leading an art retreat in Ireland in May! Of course, there will also be some studio workshops and online courses (creative connections starts next week) and of course, painting. Lots and lots of painting!
I have a 2-month show in the fall which will include some paintings at sizes I’ve never attempted before. Pushing ourselves is good, right??? In order to make that happen…
